League Mechanic Guide
Heist
Heist is a mechanic where you infiltrate high-security locations to steal valuable artifacts. You must reach the end of the area, grab your target, and escape without triggering a full lockdown. Along the way you can open chests for extra loot, but every chest raises your Alert Level.
Basic Loop
- Find a Contract (drops from monsters, Smuggler's Caches, or purchase from Whakano in the Rogue Harbour)
- Take it to Adiyah, the Wayfinder in the Rogue Harbour and pay a Rogue's Marker fee
- Choose a Rogue to bring based on the contract's job requirement
- Enter the area, open chests along the way to build loot, and reach the artifact
- Grab the artifact (this triggers lockdown)
- Escape before the timer runs out
Tip You can freely leave and re-enter the Heist portal before lockdown to stash items safely. Once lockdown begins, dying will close the portal.
Alert Level
- Every chest you open raises the Alert Level bar
- Larger reward chests in locked side rooms raise it more
- When the bar fills, a lockdown countdown begins. You can no longer enter the artifact room if you haven't already.
- Once in lockdown, escape with what you have
Rogue Unlock Order
You start with 3 rogues in the Rogue Harbour. New rogues are unlocked by completing contracts with specific rogues. Contracts must be at least level 50 for new rogues to begin appearing.
Starting Rogues
- Karst, the Lockpick
- Tibbs, the Giant
- Isla, the Engineer (does not unlock anyone)
Unlock Chains
- Karst → Huck → Niles → Vinderi → Gianna
- Tibbs → Tullina → Nenet
All Rogues & Their Perks
- Karst (Lockpicking): 20–40% less alert from opening reward chests.
- Tibbs (Brute Force): Can open 1–2 mechanical chests after lockdown per wing.
- Isla (Engineering): No unique perk listed.
- Huck (Combat): Nearby players gain increased XP, damage, movement and cast speed.
- Niles (Interrogation): Discovers Blueprint Reveals.
- Vinderi (Demolition): Specialises in Demolition contracts.
- Gianna (Deception): 30% reduced Blueprint reveal cost. Discovers an additional reveal on contract completion.
- Tullina (Agility): 26% chance to find additional Heist targets from reward chests. 14% less alert from all sources.
- Nenet (Tracking): Scouts ahead for hidden treasure and traps.
Contracts vs Blueprints
- Contract: Single wing, one rogue. Primary use is generating Rogue's Markers and Blueprint Reveals. Reward is an artifact sold for Rogue's Markers.
- Blueprint (Grand Heist): Multiple wings, multiple rogues. Used to farm high-value currency and unique items. Reward is Curio Display loot at the end of each wing.
Tip When farming Grand Heists (Blueprints), you generally do not need to spend extra Markers revealing additional wings. The default 1 revealed wing is usually sufficient.
Rogue's Markers
Rogue's Markers are the currency used for all Heist activities.
- Random drops from monsters (Act 6+)
- Found in Smuggler's Caches
- Rewarded at the end of Contracts, always recouped with a small profit
- Selling the artifact to Faustus, the Fence
Deception Contracts
Deception contracts (requiring Gianna) are especially valuable because doors do not lock behind you during lockdown, so you can grab loot and run straight to the entrance. Worth selling to other players if you don't want to run Heist yourself.
Tips
- Movement speed is more important than damage for Heist
- Store Contracts, Blueprints, and Markers in the Heist Locker (available in Rogue Harbour and as a free hideout decoration)
- Rogue equipment (Brooches, Cloaks, Gear, Tools) can be crafted to improve job speed, reduce alert, and increase loot
